Mint Builders was founded in 2016 to deliver a refreshingly different design + build experience that brings customer satisfaction, communication, technology, and professional service to the forefront in all of our customer and partner interactions. We have since completed more than 150 projects in the greater Austin area and we are honored to have an earned a 5-star customer satisfaction rating from our valued clients.

Founder Richard McDonell (President & CEO) has a unique appreciation for detail, precision, and accuracy in every project that stems from his Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University. He also brings 25 years of global industry experience in business management, technology, design and construction to ensure you receive a refreshingly different design + build experience.

Our process uses the latest design tools and focuses on turnkey service to assist you with all phases of your project: from site layout to space planning to finish selections to permitting to building and inspections. Our cloud-based project management tools enable you to stay up-to-date on your project at all times. Our attention to detail in all areas of the design + build process helps ensure your project is delivered to your satisfaction, on-time, and on-budget.

We are also proud supporters of the Thinkery Children’s Museum in Austin, TX for the past 8 years and are the exclusive sponsor of the Gingerbread Workshops every holiday season as a way to use the design + build of custom gingerbread houses to teach important science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) concepts to our future leaders of tomorrow.
